Good Morning world and thanks for tuning in to another beautiful sun shining day here on Planet Magnet, except this day is a little unusual because I am performing something known as a reblog of a friend’s post yesterday.

The reason?

We’ll it is simple really, she wrote a post about me and because of that, I could not let here kind words go unacknowledged so today I reblog and hope that you all like Lynz page yourselves!

You Scratch My Back And I’ll….

Scratch yours…

It’s the way of the world, or so we would like to think.

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet. Today we are happy souls and are found smiling and considering others having just been considered ourselves. Well, when I say we were considered, what I mean to say is somebody I know as been shown some consideration and because of this, I am doing the return back scratching.

Firstly I will apologise for the “local-centric” nature of this post. It is a little story about a local family and a local firm who are helping them in a time of need and such is the greatness of the story, I feel I should write about it here because it proves that I might not be the only decent soul around these parts….

A Nip And A Tuck With Auntie

Good morning world and welcome to another weekend here on Planet Magnet. I hope you are enjoying your first weekend off since returning after the big break and I hope you have either lots planned or absolutely zero to do apart from catch up on the sleep you should have gotten during the festive break….

Rest and Recuperation.

It is really what the weekend was designed for.
Unfortunately for me I was actually called into action for a friend and required to put my mechanics skills to the test (the reason behind my late post today) but hopefully I shall be putting my feet up in a bit because yesterday was completely crazy….

And all because of the title of this post…..

So what is the title all about I hear you say?

A Second Genuine Request To Read And Act NOW!

Good Morning World and a Happy Friday to you all!

Welcome to another day here on Planet Magnet and I hope this day finds you as equally happy, optimistic and as ready to go as it finds me. Today will see me experiencing quite an exciting day starting slowly with an appointment at the Churchill Hospital to monitor and give me a check up then ramping up as I travel up to Sloane Square in London, England to meet a plastic surgeon in order do some filming about excess skin after weight loss. This as ever is with Adina Campbell the BBC reporter so be sure to tune in tomorrow for more of that.

As you guys all know by now I spend my days writing nonsense in a bid to entertain, inspire and educate all who drop by this blog for a quick snoop at what is going on in my world. Some days the posts are funnier than others. Some days they are more poignant than other but regardless of this it is always just me and my keyboard coming up with whatever new idea I happen to have buzzing around my head at the time.

Tasty Tuesday On The Twelfth Day Of Christmas….

On the Twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…
Twelve Drummers Drumming, Eleven Pipers Piping, Ten Lords a Leaping, Nine Ladies Dancing, Eight Maids a Milking, Seven Swans a Swimming, Six Geese a Laying, Five Gold Rings, Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear tree.

Thank the stars for that!

It’s over!

We can get back to doing what we were doing.

Note to self: NEVER do the Twelve Days of Christmas as a theme EVER again…!

Learning To Be Happy On The Tenth Day Of Christmas….

On the Tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me…
Ten Lords a Leaping, Nine Ladies Dancing, Eight Maids a Milking, Seven Swans a Swimming, Six Geese a Laying, Five Gold Rings, Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and a Partridge in a Pear tree.

Well its all over now isn’t it!

Our final day of freedom has arrived.

The holidays are over and the New Year of 2016 must officially begin. Well, maybe after one last throw of the dice I suppose. Today is the day to get things done. The day that you hoped would never come but the day you need to get the house in order or to get the clothes washed and ironed and the last of the chores sorted before the mayhem of live starts once again and you start living by your resolutions (if you were sensible/daft enough to make any….)

2015 A Blog In Review

The stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 20,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 7 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

Click here to see the complete report.

I don’t think I need add anything to the content of this message.
I have been banging its drum for many a post now.
Very well written so please do give a read. I have never reblogged before but really feel this sums up a great deal of how Obesity is more than just a weight problem.

All About Healthy Choices

A wonderful blogger friend who is working hard and successfully re-balancing his life and achieving better health and happiness posted this photo of a business card. He was understandably angered by its content and “voiced” his concerns by writing an article. When I first read the words, my emotions were pulled in many directions. As I sat back and reflected on the situation, I began to realize the contentious purpose of this encounter.

As a physician, obesity is a topic I have discussed with many patients over the years. There are MANY reasons contributing to its rise in numbers in most countries. These may include: (1) physical, (2) emotional, (3) lack of education, (4) lack of financial resources.

Finding answers to this disease is critical for the welfare of EVERYONE. Sometimes “tough love” is used as an intervention to help recognize and overcome this condition. When this approach is used…

The Eleventh Hour

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in.

Yes ladies and gentlemen. It is the eleventh hour and I am just starting my tome for todays blog.

Now I have always known what the saying “Leaving it until the eleventh hour” has meant and my past history has pretty much been that I don’t do that (yes there have been a few frenzied posts written on the day) but today I am leaving it until the eleventh hour and it really is the eleventh hour! Now I could have written this piece on this very morning, but this very morning I want to concentrate on writing 500 words for the effective writing course I am currently attending and I think if I wake thinking about this blog I shall be sidetracked into doing anything but writing 500 words…. – that was a whole lot of writing there, I hope you kept up!

Just Popped In For My Quarterly MOT

Morning everyone, hope life is treating you well.

Yesterday I went to the Oxford Bariatric Clinic for my three month check up.

As you guys probably know, I have been feeling decidedly left over for about two weeks now so I was determined to get some answers even if I really didn’t feel like travelling to the hospital which is only about 20 miles from my home.

When I woke in the morning I had my feeling crappy head on and although it eventually passed I still didn’t feel great. I even dressed in my gym kit in a vain hope that I could get a rush of blood to the head and start to feel well enough to do a little activity, alas it was not meant to be 😦

Anyway. There was some good news yesterday. The consultant gave me the all clear for the six month check up and after listening to my symptoms, concurred with my GP’s diagnosis from last night that it was simply a hangover from the flu jab and should pass. I was told I was right to be concerned but considering the type of procedure I had, there should not be too much in the way problems that occur from it and certainly none that would make me more susceptible to any virus or not.
