Summertime, Summertime, Sum Sum Summertime….

Good morning world and thanks for tuning into another day here on Planet Magnet!

Life here is finally warming up with the sun making its presence felt three days in a row which must surely mean only ONE thing.

Summertime!

Well, not really. It is still spring I know but with temperatures hitting 18˚C (and trust me that is good for this part of the world at this time of year) it is starting to feel warm enough that it might warm the bones that have felt so cold and damp and uninspired for so long.

As you guys know I absolutely love to walk but I have lost my way somewhat over the past few months what will illness, a knee injury and general malaise, but as soon as the sun comes out and the temperatures rise, I am so much happier and feel so much more “at one” with nature (a cliche I know) because I am so much more relaxed whilst up on the hills.

To that end I absolutely KNOW for sure I am going to really enjoy my walk. I am under no illusions that it will be tough but I am also so positive about it (a trait I have not know for many years) that I know I will absolutely love every minute of being on the walk.

So come on guys I will ask you to put your hands in your pockets and donate just the smallest amount (or largest- 🙂 ) you can possibly manage and make me look like I am serious contender for raising the £10,000 target I set myself.

Good Morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet.

I hope today finds you feeling fresh and excited about all of the things you will get done during this glorious weekend. I know that I for one will be busy enjoying myself as much as I can both working, walking and relaxing.

Today I have for you some more charity related stuff and ask that you follow one of the following links and donate a little something to my cause or failing that, why not volunteer to walk some of it with me…. 🙂

But first I have the video of my latest appearance on TV so here’s hoping it makes some sense to you because I struggled for sure!

Post On A Bank Holday?

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet. I hope today see’s you enjoying the fact that we have a day off and the sun has finally and most definitely got his hat on!

So posting on a bank holiday?

Well if I recall correctly the only posting that should be done on a Bank Holiday is the type that that carry signs on them offering directions, installing the ones that require the placing of a fence panel between them or the ones that have us watching the brush fences between them as horses jump and race looking for glory…

So to that end there is nothing here for me to write about so I leave you with a video update in the hope that you might find your way to my Just Giving or Go Fund Me pages and make a donation…..

Go Fund Me is this…. https://www.gofundme.com/3frgj837

Why I Do This.

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet. Thursday is here already and tomorrow the weekend starts. I have lots of work to be getting on with myself so am pretty certain the weekend will be a non stop affair with a great deal of pottering about. As most of you know I loves me a good old potter about. I get to shut the brain down and do things that bring me joy and ease my mental burden (although I’m not too sure which mental burden I currently carry will be eased….)

I also have long walk planned for one of the days as I feel I need to test myself at a slower pace, perhaps two and a half miles per hour, but for a much longer period of perhaps 6 hours. This will be equivalent to the walking day I will experience whilst on The Charity Walk. In this six hours I will cover the 15 miles required each day and it will be a gentle pace for my legs and body to cope with so that I will be able to get up the following day and do it all again.

So I do this training in order for me to be able to complete my walk and I complete my walk in order that obese children and their families might get the nutritional education that will teach them how to live a healthier lifestyle and thus live an much more enjoyable life.

Not a bad trade off don’t you guys think?

Charity Sure Does Begin At Home…

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet.

Today I am extremely busy with the charity work and to that end I am afraid we will not be writing much at all.

I honestly had no idea how much time this thing would take to arrange and I am only doing a small part of it! The day just slips by so quickly and I end up chasing my tail simply trying to get back in front of my day so I can get the things done that I may have wanted to do in the first place!

Anyway, I am afraid that is all for now but trust you understand that there is little else I can do because I like most, only have the one brain and that has never been good at multitasking as it is…..

But don’t forget, whilst I am doing this you can always help a little by going to my Go Fund me page or my Just Giving page and making a small donation….

‘Till tomorrow,

Stay out of the fridge.

Well It’s Looking Like It Might Just Work….

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on…. Hold on, it’s not just ANY day, it’s Sunday! The weekend’s relaxing day is HERE! Time to throw off the chains of the week and get relaxing! Now personally, I have things to do as I need to help my friend with her house but I don’t mind at all because after my surprise trip to the theatre on Friday night I am good to go! Yes thats right, you heard me, I was taken to the theatre as a surprise. It was an early birthday present and a thank you for all of my help so far. We went to the Oxford Playhouse and watched a modern day Shakespeare styled play about Prince Charles becoming King. Very witty and very machiavellian so right up Shakespeare’s alley for sure!

You will be pleased to know that yesterday I went out for a walk and managed a good nine miles in just over three hours so that was pleasing to accomplish. I am most definitely a bit behind where I was before the Christmas break but not too far off. I still have the stamina to walk although it needs increasing. I was regularly walking at four miles per hour and that gave me room to breath at that speed however yesterday I found that slipped to an average of three miles per hour and although not out of breath found that my muscles were happy moving at that speed and not any quicker.

Go Fund Me….

A very quick post today guys as I am a little snowed under with all of this charity stuff so I am struggling to make sense of what I have one and what I still have to do. Know this though, regardless of done or to do, the list is long for both…!

The thing that has just hit me after spending £220 on some walking kit for my training walks is just how expensive it is going to be. Because of this I have had to take some action and after extensive searching I figure Go Fund Me might be the answer as I will need help from as many people as I can possibly get.

To that end I have decided to try out this go fund me page and see if I can raise something towards the £2000 I believe it will cost me to do this entire event with support.

Please take a look and if you think you may be able to spare a little cash then please do so and hopefully it will lighten my burden.

As ever guys, you people are amazing so I shall leave you to your own devices and the weekend.

‘Till tomorrow,

Stay out of the fridge

Double, Double Toil And Trouble….

Fire burn and cauldron bubble….*

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet and what a glorious day it is. Friday is finally here, the weekend is upon us and the world is once again your lobster. So what do you plan to do with it? Do you have lots of activities set aside? Do you have lots of parties to go to? Lots of friends to see?

No?

Me neither…..!

This weekend I shall be getting on with (what started out as) a little job that has grown bigger than I ever expected it to. I shall be finishing it as soon as I can because I have other things to be getting on with; and the other things I have to be getting on with come with a kind of “pain of death” caveat should I not manage to complete the tasks set out for me.

Gulp….

Kittens, Magnets, Filming and The You Tube….

Good morning everyone and thanks for taking time to tune into hump day here on the Worlds Biggest Fridge Magnet.

Now because it is a hump day and even though I usually say there should be no special dispensation for them, today I will allow a small one in the form of making your day a little easier by not asking you to read anything, in fact, all you need do is sit back and watch.

Relaxation is entirely optional of course…..

As some of you know, a week ago last Saturday we started an experiment where we added the word kitten into the title of that days post in order to see if it actually increased the traffic to the blog. This was proven to be inconclusive so we decided to up the ante a touch and have recorded a new video log which is actually being previewed here on the blog rather than posting straight to You Tube.
