A Cup Of Kwofee And Sum Bisquits With A Fellow Blogger…

Good Morning world and thanks for tuning in to another day here on Planet Magnet.

I hope today finds you happy and well adjusted, able to put things in perspective and understand that some things are sent to try us, some things are designed to change us but all things happen for the best of that you can be sure, especially on a planet where the most random of things happen….

Yes Random.

Last week I was shopping in my local supermarket, being very healthy, okay, okay, I was stood in front of the cake display, when a figure came and stood right next to me and gave me such a fright that I jumped back whilst exclaiming a profanity of epic proportions.

When I had regained my composure, I realised who it was and how random it was that this person should be stood in front of me in MY local supermarket.
Anyway, we chatted for a while and made an arrangement to meet this week (well, in fact we met on Tuesday just gone) to continue our conversation as we were probably boring the daughter of this person to tears with our inane banter. Yes, that’s right, banter. It is literally how we talk. We quote old films and TV shows to each other and make silly references to growing up in the 70’s that only people of our era and location get.

So who did I arrange to have Quwofee (Coffee) with?

This mad bird is who…..

That’s young Fiona aka Osyth from Half Baked in Paradise.

That means in this photo we have two bloggers from completely different parts of the world meeting in a Costa Coffee shop in a tiny town in the Shires of England.

Pretty amazeballs eh?

Remarkable when you consider that Fiona splits her time between Massachusetts and Southern France, but here she in in dear old Ardington (a village near Wantage) visiting her mother. Yes, that’s right, her mother!!

It is such a small world when you consider the distances involved. We all know that the world is smaller now than it has ever been, what with warp factor travel and the Interweb but when you actually meet face to face with someone you only correspond with via cyberspace, whilst doing your daily shop, well that is a bit of a heart stopper for sure!

We met and talked and talked and talked. We talked about everything and anything including how brilliant I am. (It must be true if Fiona says it 😉 ) What the future was holding for her and B2 (the Brain and the Bean), myself and Archie and my upcoming walk.
Suffice to say there wasn’t much oxygen left in the coffee shop what with all of the talking going on 😉

So there you go guys, always keep your eyes open as you never know who you might bump into…..

‘Till tomorrow,

Stay out of the fridge.

Too Awesome !!! I’m tickled you two hooked up before she comes back to us 👍

And the picture does show how well you two got along in person, if that coffee shop was filled with customers, I’d bet they were enjoying the lively banter too 😄

If I’m late on parade to this party it’s for two reasons 1) I WAS completely stunned to bump into you and 2) my mother’s village is beautiful but bluddy awful when it comes to internet coverage. Anyway – I’m reblogging this on my own pitifully neglected site as a kick up the bum to get started again – honestly. I will m’lud, I will 🙂

Reblogged this on Half Baked In Paradise and commented:
My pitifully neglected blog needs a kick in the pants so I thought I would start by reblogging this from my dear friend Cameron which demonstrates the actual power of blogging. He and I actually did live near one another for many years, he went to the same school as my two elder daughters but we never met. It took the mother of my eldest daughter’s husband to be (now husband) … stay with me …. to introduce us when Cam was still waiting for a date for surgery. I now count him as a friend. A real and dear friend. And I am so thrilled to be able to stay in touch with him via our respective blogs. I feel his pain and his joy and I cook his ridiculously healthful and delicous meals. He is part of my life. And without out little corners of WordPress none of it would be possible. Actually my life would be consideraby poorer without my blog and I must thank so many of you for being my virtual friends and family. Now, over to Cameron on Planet Magnet
