Good morning world and thanks for tuning into another day here on Planet Magnet!
Life here is finally warming up with the sun making its presence felt three days in a row which must surely mean only ONE thing.
Well, not really. It is still spring I know but with temperatures hitting 18˚C (and trust me that is good for this part of the world at this time of year) it is starting to feel warm enough that it might warm the bones that have felt so cold and damp and uninspired for so long.
As you guys know I absolutely love to walk but I have lost my way somewhat over the past few months what will illness, a knee injury and general malaise, but as soon as the sun comes out and the temperatures rise, I am so much happier and feel so much more “at one” with nature (a cliche I know) because I am so much more relaxed whilst up on the hills.
To that end I absolutely KNOW for sure I am going to really enjoy my walk. I am under no illusions that it will be tough but I am also so positive about it (a trait I have not know for many years) that I know I will absolutely love every minute of being on the walk.
So come on guys I will ask you to put your hands in your pockets and donate just the smallest amount (or largest- 🙂 ) you can possibly manage and make me look like I am serious contender for raising the £10,000 target I set myself.
Please give what you can because I am going to be giving everything I have come June 13th of this year when the sun is hopefully shining on me for the entire time I walk….. 🙂
That’s all we have today because I have to go to the doggy hospital in a wee while and collect the little man Archie. Yesterday we were out for a walk and after he had done his little boy business, I noticed some blood. It was even dripping from his bottom by the end as he had a bad case of the trots 😦
Poor little chap.
So I called the emergency vets and they told us to bring him in right away to give him a check up. I did just that and took a very unsettled little boy to the Vets. He was inspected and given the “thumbs up” but recommended to stay in the hospital overnight on a drip, given some antibiotics and also a little pain relief for a nasty gurgling gut. I was very happy he was going to be fine and readily agreed to this.
Then the subject of money came up and you honestly do not want to see the invoice I received for this service (faint) but it’s times like these when I realise the expensive monthly insurance premium is so worth it and was happy to know I only had to pay an excess!
But because of this, he is now on the mend and being looked after properly instead of having to suffer in any way.
Anyway, the little man will be collected and be comfortable and all will be well of that I am sure.
Stay out of the fridge.
