Can WBFM Become A Brand?

Good morning to all of my lovely readers and welcome back once again to another Monday here on Planet Magnet!

I must say that I did enjoy my blogging break for a couple of days but if I am honest, I am now glad to be back at it and looking forward to the week ahead…. πŸ˜‰

One bit of bad news however, I think I may have hurt my knee after kneeling on it for a couple of hours last night as I did a little D.I.Y. I don’t recall it being sore as I was working and it certainly wasn’t sore until I rose this morning and was walking along the hallway. What is more weird is the fact that it was swinging and sending a sharp pain through my knee as I walked or twisted (yes I know the second one is a given….) but I was able to RUN up the stairs to my apartment with no ill effects.

How weird is that!

Anyway, enough of my ailments (although answers on a postcard please…) and now to my heading. I have been wondering for a couple of months now, what next for the Worlds Biggest Fridge Magnet?
Having voiced this question to a few people I find that most of the agree with an idea a friend of mine had a little while ago when he came up with the thought that the Worlds Biggest fridge Magnet could become a brand of some description. Lets face it there are many who are “on-line celebrity” (not that I want celebrity) there are people who take their worlds and make them bigger by showing how to cook good food food on a budget, by giving motivational talks, by showing people how to exercise, by being a life coach. The list is endless. I actually am aware of one lad who came out as Gay on the You Tube and has now built an empire from this very thing which is quite amazing.

Now I am not saying I want to build an empire (although having one to strike back with might be good… πŸ˜‰ ) but I certainly am beginning to wonder if there is something that the WBFM could incorporate into a world wide presence, offering life coaching, exercise tips, cooking tips, agony aunt, reviews of kit that were completely unbiased, advice on weight loss surgery and many many more things. Obviously this would be some kind of subscribed service but there could also be some element of support for others that came from it where I was able to help out people looking for surgery to improve their health (or some such) In order to all of this I am pretty sure the idea of my friend TC is an absolute necessity. The WBFM needs to become a brand and as such I need to start thinking about the next step. I need to get as much help as I possibly can and I need to get as many ideas as I possibly can.

Because of this I now throw the doors open to you all and ask for all of your help and ideas. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do consider this and reply no matter how daft you feel any idea may be. I implore ALL of you from around there world – which, lets face it there are many πŸ™‚ No matter if you have not replied or commented before, we need all of your inputs because YOU will be helping to take the brand forward which mean YOU will be instrumental in the future of the Worlds Biggest Fridge Magnet and where he goes next.

We all need to look toward the future because my blog cannot always continue to be underscored as the Simple Musings Of A Post Bariatric Self Confessed Fat Bloke because lets face it, the statement will no longer be ableΒ to define me for much longer as I grow smaller and I start to make the site more interactive and at least pay its way.

This is pretty much all there is today, me asking for help once again. We have to make the issue of weight and associated surgery one of the most prevalent in peoples minds because Β it is simply something that affects us all and once the weight is gone, the issues do not suddenly disappear, the problems just change and people need to learn how to live healthy again, how to look after themselves, how to integrate back to normal life and what to do if afflicted by further medical issues such as excess skin etc.
Speaking of excess skin, THIS is the latest link to my latest piece on the BBC, just click it and look for the Video section that is listed under the heading Excess Skin (strangely enough!)

Anyway, that is enough of me for today so come back with your thoughts as soon as you can!

‘Till tomorrow,

Stay out of the fridge.

Great article on the BBC job well done…….love the tats…my daughter has a lovely dragon climbing her hip around a long stem rose….I agree the WBFM should become a household name….the first thing I would think you need to do is protect the name, not sure what you would do over there but over her you would file for protection rights….some kind of “rights” can’t remember the exact name this morning…a little brain dead…sorry….I will give your quest some thought and get back to you with some of my ideas…LOL your looking great friend…oh yes I remembered what else…your knee….you will always need to remember that its not a happy one to be knelt on…remember to put a little towel or knee pad on before doing it…no sense causing it extra stress…I have bad knees and can no longer kneel on one of them with the though of crushing the old arthritic bone inside…..hope its better today…kat

I can see you doing life coaching. You have experienced problems that others are fighting in their solitude. Perhaps you can touch others and be their inspiration. TYou are a positive person, and spreading your postivity around can only make this world a better place.

Sudden onset of pain (meaning within 24 hours of an event) commonly means inflammation. Without any other mechanism of injury that would challenge ligamentous instability of the knee, there could be some infrapatellar bursitis (mild swelling of the bursa from compression for extended periods.) R.I.C.E. is a good conservative protocol. Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. If it is a minor disturbance, 48-72 hours should get you back to yourself. Good luck.
