I’ll Get By With A Little Help From My Friends….

Mm I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm gonna try with a little help from my friends*

Good morning world and thanks for tuning in to another lovely Saturday here on Planet Magnet. The weekend has begun and so must your time begin. Hold on, where are you going…..? I didn’t mean this minute, read me first THEN go off and do whatever it is you have planned….

A little help from my friends.

Probably one of the most well known songs to be sung by The Beatles.

Today is a quick post and is pretty much pointed toward a friend of mine who is having a hard time as she struggles to balance her life. Work is tough, home is tough. Yes she signed up for both and she signed up with her eyes open but she must know that she does not have to deal with it alone.

She has friends who love her and care for her and they are only too happy to help. She is a darling of a lady and very easy to like so people will want to help her, people will want to be there for her.

Just as friends should.

Friends will always be there if they are proper friends. Certainly there are fall outs and disagreements but a friend will always have an ear for you, a friend will always have sympathy for you no matter how many times you have told the same story or said the same words.

A friend can come in many forms. It can be a family member (my mum is a prime example of a great friend and for that I am lucky, in fact I say it without embarrassment, my mum is probably my best friend) it can be an old school pal, it can be a neighbour, a pen pal or even be someone you talk to on a blog because lets face it, the WP community is pretty awesome at helping one another… 🙂

I have aways been guilty of unloading my problems to my friends. I have moaned and cried to friends over the silliest of things but also over the most serious of things and a true friend with never question the gravity of your problem. They will simply acknowledge and help because whatever it is, if it is upsetting you it is a problem and if it is a problem to you then it is a problem to them.

As we know I am lucky enough to be in a good place at the moment and I am hoping that long may it stay that way but we never know what is around the corner so we must always have our friends at hand. No matter who your friend is, no matter where they are, no matter how long you have known them for, if you can talk to them and they will listen, they are a friend.

So in spite of yesterday’s amazing hurtful blog content I now ask us all to buck that trend and do as The Farmers Diet said, we should compliment 5 people and hope they pay it forward because with something as simple as that the world can become a nicer, friendlier place and when the world is nicer and friendlier friendships can grow and life becomes so much easier.

‘Till tomorrow,

Stay out of the fridge

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. I’m not religious but I do live my life by that mantra. And when I fail, I try to understand why I’m being an old curmudgeon and come out of my corner swinging compliments. I’m sure it makes ME happier so it’s really entirely selfish 😉

I could NEVER believe that the simply gorgeous Fiona would ever be described by anyone, including herself, as a curmudgeon!!
      I agree with the Mantra.
I love my friends and treat them as such, it is the only way.
I try to treat all people with a sense of welcome and hope that is what I receive in return.
