3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge – Day 1

Okay so I was nominated to do this by PalFitness and ordinarily I would not accept but I see this one is quite a simple one to maintain, a little bit of fun and will mean only a short second daily post that I plan on sending out at midday over the next two days.

So, what are the rules?

Well they are quite simple to be honest (hence why I have accepted..)

They are:

Post three consecutive days.
You can pick one or three quotes per day.
Challenge three different bloggers per day.

Now as for me, today I shall be picking the following three blogs:

  1. Postcards from Kerry.
  2. Lynz Real Cooking.
  3. Ed Mooney Photography.

And for today here are three of my favourite quotes by the wonderful David Coleman an ex Sportscaster from the BBC who sadly died a couple of years ago. He was the unwitting creator of Coleman Balls, a list of daft things he said in the heat of the broadcast. He was so famous for these, he was in fact regularly aped on the stuffed puppet satire “Spitting Image”

Over the years he came out with some absolute classics – for example:

My all time favourite when talking about football – “If that had gone in, it would have been a goal.”
When over egging the ability of an athlete, he came up with this gem – “In a moment we hope to see the pole vault over the satellite.”
And when discussing how quickly an athlete managed to run a race – “That’s the fastest time ever run – but it’s not as fast as the world record.”

Some absolute crackers there.

Come back tomorrow for some more….!

Okay, I accept your challenge for three quotes per day but I won’t nominate anyone – first three offers to quote are accepted.
Sarah Palin, “I can see Russia from my house”
Donald Trump, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming our her wherever”, referring to the female moderator.
Rick Perry, “Juarez is reported to be the most dangerous city in America” (It is in Mexico

Blood coming out of her wherever.”
