Good morning world and thank you for tuning in!
This is the Worlds Biggest Fridge Magnet reporting for duty….
You will be pleased to know that yesterday I was contacted by the BBC reporter Adina Campbell and asked if we could do some filming this coming Monday of my six months weight loss progress. Any of you who might not have seen my BBC appearances before can look them up here on my Media page if you are so inclined. I will understand if you wish to be spared the embarrassment however 😉
You know what, the fact that the BBC have gotten back in touch and planned an update interview makes me happy. It makes me realise that there are some changes being made and that what I am doing does quite possibly matter if it is actually newsworthy enough to be shown on the BBC. Okay it may only be the local BBC South channel but it is exposure for the cause of the bariatric patient so when people hear about how much good it has done me, they might consider it for themselves, or perhaps if a naysayer see’s me interviewed and realises that this surgery can make a massive difference to a persons life, they may get on board with the cause instead of berating it and following the usual Fat equals Lazy train of thought.
Don’t get me wrong, as I said the other day out is always nice to be stopped in the street by people who know what has happened to me and have monitored my progress but what is more amazing is when people who haven’t seen me for several months and don’t actually recognise me right away. I can tell you that when finally the penny drops the expression on their faces is quite something to say the least.
So I am continuing with the interviews and with the exposure whenever I can. I dare say now that because the TV have picked up on it once again, the radio could well be close behind but we will see. Maybe it will lead to something a little more national or widespread at least but I sometimes fear this will not happen as I have said before due to the fact I am able to string two words together and don’t have a gimmick.
Still none the less I shall look forward to Monday and I shall put my best self forward and try to get the message of success out there to the audience of the local news. You never know as my journey continues (and I still have a long way to go) I may yet be able to fire the nations interest and intellect in this most serious of subjects.

Well food wise, Wednesday was simply an okay day. I was busy with appointments and trips out so was glad I managed to get home for lunchtime so was able to monitor exactly what was eaten but still let myself down a little if I am honest. The carbs were far too high given it was a rest day, but that said I will have stored them so I was able to burn them walking and in the gym yesterday.
Yesterday was a trip to the gym and a power walk and to be honest, I was glad for it after resting my bones the day before. It got me moving again after my days rest which had seen an unusual amount of Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness and for me the best way to treat this is to get back on that horse and start riding.
The day started as ever with a walk for the dog so although it was at a reasonable pace, it was way off of the power walk levels as the Map My Walk screenshot shows again.
Again, apologies for the screenshot being one I used before, but once again I forgot to shut off the app until I was back at my house after 5 minutes in the car!
I followed this gentle stroll up with my power walk showing I am getting back into the zone once more.
Which along with a cardio session gave a Polar H7 reading of 585 calories burned. Unfortunately due to a massive dip in energy, I didn’t manage the strength training yesterday so plan to do it tomorrow before my Body Balance class…
And to finish the day off, I went out once again around the field with the dog to produce a new gentle Map My Walk screenshot.
All of this walking and other activity in the gym and bombing around through the day ended up giving me a very good Jawbone Up2 final reading of 16523 steps.
Not a bad days effort wouldn’t you say…!
Stay out of the fridge.
