The rhythm of life is a powerful beat, puts a tingle in your fingers and a tingle in your feet…*
Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening.
There you go, we now have all of the bases covered.
Quick post today guys, once again I have been beset with technical issues not allowing me to upload images and information, but hay that’s my problem not yours…..
So, the rhythm of life.
It is nice when life has a rhythm.
We all have one.
We all function better when it is in harmony with the world. I know it sounds a trifle hippy but trust me, we really do!
I know for a fact my rhythm was “off” earlier this week when I had no energy. Fortunately I am now “back in the swing” of things so am feeling much better than I have done over past weeks. Maybe it is the recovery drink that I started to use post work out or maybe it is psychological, either way I am happy with the results because whatever the reason, I feel like I have my rhythm back.

So my days food intake was again very healthy and even with the recovery drink I didn’t go mad on the carbohydrates (given that the RDA for an adult male is 300 – although the validity of this is in question considering it was worked out over 50 years ago!)
I have to admit to not feeling completely wiped out after my gym session yesterday. I normally feel a tiredness in my shoulders that isn’t there today so long may it continue, maybe I have broken the back of the malaise by virtue of some rest and introducing the carbolific and calorie filled drink. Regardless of what it is, I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth but simply grab the fresh feeling with both hands and make the most of it.
To that end, I collected the dog mid morning intending to gave him a slow but steady walk around the field. However this changed upon hearing of his boundless energy whilst act chasing earlier in the morning! I decided to put it to the test and walked us on the old airfield for nearly 3 miles at a pace and little legs managed to keep up only flagging on occasion which was so great to see.
So after a good walk I followed it up with a trip to the gym and smashed it in there too on the exercise bike, the stepper and the cross trainer. Again following up with my strength training of:
- 3 x 30 Reps 30kg Abductor machine
- 3 x 30 Reps 30kg Adductor machine
- 3 x 30 Reps 35kg Abdominal Crunch machine
- 3 x 30 Reps 35kg Lower Back machine
- 3 x 30 Reps 20kg Cable Row
- 3 x 30 Reps 10kg Chest Press
- 3 x 30 Reps 25kg Pec Deck
- 3 x 30 Reps 17.5kg Tricep Pull Down
- 2 x 30 Reps 6kg (each arm) Bicep Dumbell Curl
- 1 x 50 Reps 6kg (each arm) Bicep Dumbell Curl
- 3 x 30 Standing Oblique 20kg Barbell Twists (15 each side)
- 3 x 30 Standing Russian Oblique Weighted Bar Twists (15 each side)
All of which gave the Polar H7 read out of:
Showing my activity had accumulated 1111 calories burnt!
Adding this to my Jawbone Up24 reading of over 13,000 steps!
So, good numbers and still feeling as though I have a little energy so hopefully the recovery drink is working. We will soon find out when I am back at the gym because today is a rest day!
‘Till tomorrow,
Stay out of the fridge.

Oh that song… I personally remember it from the show 7th Heaven (not sure if you’ve heard of it or if it was ever shown in your neck of the woods), but it was a favorite of mine growing up. Thanks for that little stroll down memory lane! 🙂
Glad you got to go for a nice walk, I bet the pup enjoyed it as well! 🙂 Keep up with all the fabulous work! You rock!
